Donut Co., it is unfortunate to say, but what a disappointment. We don’t like to criticize, especially a local establishment that has probably been
around for awhile – however, these
donuts were almost not finished. And the place wasn't even busy on a Saturday morning.
The
chocolate donut – the chocolate is mediocre at best, and the rest of the donut
is like the all the other donuts at John Donut Co., hard, dry, and overly deep
fried. Almost a terrible donut, definitely not the way to begin your
day. Which might be why John Donut Co. has non-normal donut shop hours,
including late at night, and early, early in the morning. I guess John
Donut Co. is banking on the late night drinking crowd from Soulard that gets a
hankering for late night, drunken donuts- hoping that after some
heavy drinking, the customers tastes may not be quite as discerning as they
regularly would be.
